The history

When I later got the Miniature Schnauzer Ashwick Mr. Pickwick from Pam & Dave Wick in England I got everything I could wish for. A great companion, a great show dog and a successful stud dog.

“Peps” was a constant winner for several years; in the top of the breed lists several years, more than 50 Best of Breeds and ending his career in the show ring as BOB and Norwegian Winner at the age of 11!

A dog like this you only get once in your life and I am grateful the Wicks was willing to let this dog go to young - and not well known -boy in Norway.

An early start...

Even if the Tagline name is not often seen, only a few puppies have been registered under that prefix, my life in dogs goes way back.

The interest for dogs started at an early age and after a short try out with a family hunting dog, my first dog was a rough collie bitch with the exotic name of “Femme Cherie”. (I had, after all, learned that fancy dogs had fancy names, and in my 12 year old ears this sounded great. Growing older I found out the name did not really make any sense...). Even if she was shown several times, she was never a star in anyones eyes other than this 12 year old boy.

But a passion for dogs had started...

The follow up...

Later I have had the pleasure of working with and showing numerous dogs of different breeds, teaching me to appreciate the multitude of breeds that we have.

At the moment my focus is on Dachshunds and PBGVs, but still the collies and schnauzers are very dear to me - now even as a judge.
